The 205th Coastal Division was an infantry division of the Italian Army during World War II. The division was one of three Coastal Divisions based in Sardinia until the Italian surrender to the Allies on September 8, 1943. Coastal divisions, were second line divisions, usually formed from men in their forties and fifties intended to perform labouring and second lined duties. Recruited locally they were often commanded by officers called out of retirement. Their equipment was also second rate. The Prime Minister of Italy, Benito Mussolini had hoped to obtain large quantities of arms and equipment from the disbanded Vichy French army, but this had often been sabotaged of arrived with no ammunition.〔Jowett p 6〕 ==Order of battle== *127th Coastal Infantry Regiment *128th Coastal Infantry Regiment *129th Coastal Infantry Regiment 〔Jowett p 6〕 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「205th Coastal Division (Italy)」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
